Resources will continue strengthening line and checking for hot spots across the fire's edge. Engines will patrol across the fire monitoring for any potential flareups within the fire's interior. Today, hot and dry conditions will persist with wind gusts forecast up to 22 mph. A Red Flag Watch is forecast for today for northern Arizona. While the Red Flag won't affect the Jones Fire resources are maintaining situational awareness for any potential increase in activity due to expected high winds. Again for today, a dozer will work further into the interior of the fire pushing around material to alleviate any potential flareups as well as mitigating hazard trees which could create a danger to crews working. The US is fully open. Drivers should use caution through the area as engines continue to work alongside the road. Approximately 150 personnel are assigned to the incident including four DFFM hand crews, engines, water tenders, and a dozer. Air Attack and additional aircraft remain available if needed.The Jones Fire was reported on May 11 burning approximately 1 mile southeast of Wickenburg, AZ.  Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) is in command of the fire. The fire is burning in the Hassayampa River bottom in salt cedar, cottonwood, grass and brush.Forward progression was stopped at 6:35pm on May 11.  The fire is under full suppression.Evacuations: Follow Maricopa County OEM and visit Maricopa County for updates.
