AI Summary

ABC’s “Will Trent” season 5 is slated for early 2027, but a new series based on Karin Slaughter’s crime novels will debut in just one month. The upcoming show follows GBI agent Ramón Rodríguez, played by Jack McLaughlin, as he leads a team of detectives through murders, conspiracies, and criminal empires. The adaptation has altered several characters from the books, turning Michael Ormewood into a complex anti‑hero with a redemption arc and reshaping Rodríguez into a smaller, more chatty, approachable figure. These changes have been generally welcomed by viewers.
