AI Summary

WhatsApp is adding an Events feature that lives in the app’s settings menu, where users can view past and upcoming plans and manage RSVPs. Hosts can personalize events with a header photo and send custom reminders, and they may invite guests who don’t use WhatsApp; those guests can view details and RSVP without creating an account. The host’s phone number remains hidden from unknown guests, and non‑WhatsApp invitees won’t see the event address until they RSVP. The rollout will reach all users over the next several weeks.
