Trump Ruins David S. Pumpkins’ Return to SNL
David S. Pumpkins returned to Saturday Night Live this Halloween, only to have his comeback hijacked by another very loud, very orange, and considerably less entertaining character.
AI Summary
David S. Pumpkins made a Halloween return in Saturday Night Live’s cold‑open, appearing in a haunted‑ride sketch that also featured Tom Hanks reprising his cult‑favorite character from two prior SNL appearances. The sketch was abruptly taken over when James Austin Johnson entered as a very loud, very orange Donald Trump, who dominated the remainder of the segment. The cameo effectively hijacked Pumpkins’ comeback, shifting the focus of the sketch to the Trump impersonation.
