AI Summary

Paul Giamatti will not return for the second season of *Star Trek: Starfleet Academy*. The new season, set to premiere in March 2027 on Paramount+, will feature a different Academy Award‑caliber actor in the role of the series’ villain. Giamatti’s character, Nus Braka, a hybrid Klingon‑Tellarite terrorist, was a major threat to the United Federation of Planets in season 1. Braka’s vendetta was ultimately thwarted by Captain Nahla Ake, played by Holly Hunter, and the cadets of Starfleet Academy. The show’s co‑showrunners, Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, remain executive producers.
