AI Summary

A life‑size statue of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis began melting shortly after its Tuesday unveiling in front of supporters in Tallahassee. The piece, titled “DENIAL,” was sculpted entirely from gallium, a metal that liquefies at 85.6 °F (29.8 °C), a temperature below the city’s typical summer high and projected to be exceeded more often under 2 °C of global warming. The installation, timed ahead of the midterm elections and following Climate Week NYC, urges viewers to reject climate‑change denial and sign a pledge to vote for climate‑conscious candidates.
