AI Summary

Peacock’s spy drama *Slow Horses* is set to return in 2027, a move that could cement its status as the top spy series on television. The show, adapted from Mick Herron’s Slough House novels, blends workplace comedy with dark character drama, focusing on the everyday spies who keep espionage running. Critics praise its deadpan wit and gritty tone, noting it offers a fresh take on the genre without relying on constant action. The series’ comeback comes amid a slump in spy films, with recent releases like *Argyle*, *Black Bag*, and *Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre* underperforming, while audiences await the next Bond installment.
