AI Summary

The Penguin, a Gotham‑based crime drama that follows the character’s debut in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, has been praised for its quality but is noted to have little connection to Batman himself. The show’s release has heightened anticipation for The Batman – Part II, which has faced production issues and delays since 2022. Critics argue that, despite its strengths, The Penguin cannot be considered the best Batman TV show. The consensus places Batman: The Animated Series as the strongest and most influential Batman series on television, surpassing The Penguin in impact and filmmaking caliber.
