AI Summary

Former Tesla SVP Drew Baglino, who spent almost twenty years developing batteries, motors and power electronics for the company, has founded Sadi Thermal Machines. The startup is developing a residential heat‑pump system that Tesla had promoted in 2022 but never delivered. Baglino’s new venture directly follows Tesla’s earlier public discussion of the product before the company shifted focus to humanoid robots and robotaxis. The heat‑pump project represents a return to the home‑energy market that Tesla had previously abandoned.
