Discord public server messages may be soon searchable on Google, but you can opt out
Discord is making a policy change that will further increase the visibility of conversations on its largest public servers. On November 16, the platform's Discoverable Servers will all be getting Server Web Pages.
AI Summary
Discord will add Server Web Pages to all Discoverable Servers on November 16, showing each server’s description and summaries of public‑channel discussions. By mid‑December, messages posted in those channels may appear word‑for‑word on the new pages and in search‑engine results, though usernames and avatars will be omitted. Discord says the change is intended to make information from these communities easier to find via web searches, effectively exposing public Discord content similarly to Reddit threads in search results.
