AI Summary

Lex Luthor has long despised Superman, using his intellect and wealth to acquire Kryptonite, build a warsuit, and hire other villains to try to eliminate the Kryptonian. He argues that relying on a benevolent extraterrestrial would make humanity complacent and that society favors Superman over him. Despite this hatred, Luthor has admitted that something else terrifies him more: the general presence of superheroes, magic, alien visitations, and interdimensional invasions that define the world he lives in.
