AI Summary

DC announced that its new Absolute imprint will reboot one of its oldest heroes as a villain. The Absolute Universe reimagines DC’s main characters after Darkseid’s interference strips them of their usual advantages—Batman becomes a working‑class hero, Wonder Woman is raised in Hell by Circe, and Martian Manhunter exists as a disembodied entity possessing a human. In contrast, the line’s villains hold positions of extreme power, creating a bleak world in desperate need of heroes. The imprint has been praised by critics and fans for its iconoclastic takes on the franchise.
