AI Summary

Netflix has announced a second Bridgerton limited‑series spinoff, created and co‑written by Shonda Rhimes and Nicholas Nardini. The new show will focus on the romance between Violet Bridgerton and her future husband, the late Viscount Edmund Bridgerton, rather than on royal intrigue. It is expected to use multiple timelines, similar to Queen Charlotte, to explore their shared past and its impact on Violet’s arc in the main series. In Bridgerton season 4, Violet began an affair with Lord Marcus Anderson, which led to her breaking off that engagement to seek personal freedom. The series’ future direction remains unknown.
